Lucy Mae Stone Thompson, 73, of Ames died of renal failure there Saturday. Services will be at 10:30 A.m. Wednesday at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, with burial at Story Memoraial Gardens Cemetery there.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Wayne County and had lived in Ames since 1959. She was a retired nurse's aide at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

She is survived by a daugher, Sandra Andrews of Ames; a son, Lester Richards of Fulton, Mo.; five brothers, Keith Osborn and Harold Osborn, both of Des Moines, Joseph Osborn of Montezuma, Richard Osborn of Orlando, Fla., and Roy Osborn of Wisconsin; two sisters, Norma Barclay of Newton and Donna Shepherd of Nevada; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, November 1991
