PAULINE NELSON
Pauline Nelson was born September 30, 1853, in Finland, Denmark, and died March 10, 1917, at her home at Buffalo Center, Iowa, aged 65 years, 5 months and 10 days. Apoplexy was the cause of her death and she was sick only three hours.
The deceased came to this country in 1879 and was united in marriage to Ole Nelson of Marshalltown on October 8, 1882. The following spring they moved to a farm near McCallsburg, living there until last spring, when they moved to Buffalo Center, Iowa.
To their union were born seven children---five girls and two boys. The mother is survived by her husband and the children---Miss Christine Nelson of Longmont, Colorado; Misses Mary and Anna Nelson of Marshalltown; Mrs. Luke O'Donnell of Colo, Miss Carrie, Jens and Nels Nelson at home. Besides the family she leaves five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
The deceased entered the Lutheran church in her youthful days and continued in her faith, proving herself a devoted wife and mother to her family.
