NEVADA - Vivian Cole, 90, of Nevada, IA. died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Riverside Manor in Ames.

Services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2007, 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Visitation Wednesday, 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Vivian was born May 10, 1917, in Thompson, IA to Henry & Ida Viola (Hirsch) Wagner. She moved to Radcliffe, IA as a young girl with her family and graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1935. She worked as a clerk, waitress and housekeeper.

She was united in marriage to Otis Cole on December 5, 1952 in Nevada. Otis died in November of 1991.

Vivian was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada, Mary Circle and a monthly Bible Study group, Milford Social Hour and Milford Township PTA. She did volunteer work at Story County Hospital, was fond of her many friends and classmates from Radcliffe and enjoyed playing bridge.

Vivian is survived by her daughter: Sharyl Larson of Ames, IA; 2 grandchildren: Dallas (Pamela) Larson of Huxley, IA, Melinda Larson of Pleasant Hill, CA; 3 Great- Grandchildren: Courtney and Ross Larson and Ben Larson. Preceding her in death were her husband, Otis and two brothers, Lester and Harold Wagner. She is also survived by her companion and family friend, Wes McDaniel of Nevada.

Bacon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
