Ruthann Myers, 56, of Ames, died Sunday, May 4, at home after a yearlong battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at Adams Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Ruthann Myers was born Aug. 20, 1950, in Rockford, Ill., to Edgar and Lila (Jeffery) Rudolph. She graduated from high school in Rockford. She married Allen Myers July 7, 1973, in Rockford. She was a homemaker and devoted mother to her children. She loved all living things. She had many pets and loved flowers and wildlife.

She is survived by her husband, Allen, of Ames; two sons, Stephen Myers and Michael Myers, both of Ames; two brothers, Russell Rudolph, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Romaine Rudolph, of Mission, Texas; and one sister, Rosemarie Burkholder, of Rockford, Ill.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Adams Funeral Home.
