Lavon "Bonnie" Anderson, 94, of Nevada and formerly of Ames, died Wednesday, May 2, at Story County Long Term Care. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, at Adams Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Vallery officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Lavon "Bonnie" Anderson was born Sept. 12, 1912, in Nevada, to James Louis and Agnes (Young) Stiegelmeier. She married Clifford Anderson. She was a bookkeeper at McDowell Insurance for 26 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; one brother, Clyde Stiegelmeier; and four sisters, Imogene Kitchen, Doris Logan, Rena Peterson and Charlene Cole.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service Monday, May 7, at Adams Funeral Home.
