March 17, 1965-April 21, 2007

DeAnn Kay Potter, 42, of Hubbard, died Saturday, April 21, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center.

DeAnn Kay Potter was born March 17, 1965, in Nevada, the daughter of Louis and Geraldine (Lunde) Melton. She married John Potter June 18, 1983, at First Christian Church in Nevada. She was a homemaker who loved her family, two grandchildren, camping, shopping, watching movies, playing practical jokes and caring for her pets.

She is survived by her husband, John, of Hubbard; one son, Timothy, at home; one daughter, Tasha Kay Potter, of Hubbard; two grandchildren, Destiny Robertta Potter and Zoey Marie Potter; her father, Louis Melton, of Hubbard; her mother, Geraldine Melton, of Nevada; one brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Melton, of Collins; and two sisters, Deb (Rob) Hardy, of Ames, and Darla (Gary) Ingham, of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her parents-in-law, Bob and Karen Potter.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials may be made to the DeAnn Kay Potter Memorial Fund.
