Sandra Andrews, 66, of Ames, died Tuesday, April 17. Services are pending with Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Sandra L. Andrews, 66, of Ames, died Tuesday, April 17, at Madrid Nursing Home of complications of cancer. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Heartland Baptist Church in Ames. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery near Luther.

Sandra L. Andrews was born April 3, 1941, in Iowa City, to Charles and Lucy Richards. She lived and attended school in Spencer. Her family moved to Ames in her senior year, and she graduated from Ames High School. She married Charles P. Andrews Oct. 8, 1964, resulting in a son, Franklyn D. Andrews, of Des Moines. Two daughters were born to Franklyn and Sharon Andrews, Lynsay Kay Andrews and Kaytlyn Michelle Andrews. Sandra is also survived by a brother, Bob Richards, of Fulton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She worked for many years for Iowa State. She was an avid quilter and seamstress.

A visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.
