THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, April 3, 2007.

Fred Morain, former publisher of the Jefferson newspapers and father of current publisher Rick Morain, died Saturday, March 31. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Jefferson Methodist Church. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Flininger-Rossow Funeral Home, 119 W. Lincoln Way, in Jefferson.

The family suggests any memorials be contributed to the Greene County Community Foundation or the Lois Morain Music Camp Scholarship.
