Obituary
Sarah Thompson Teed - Parker was born in Venango county, Penn., April 4th, 1833 and departed this life Oct. 8, 1910, at the age of 77 years, 5 months, 24 days.
When a child she moved with her parents to Ia., then to Ohio, where she was united in marriage in 1852 to W. H. Teed. To this union were born five children, W. H. of Jasper county, with whom she made her home; Coe Story county; Eugene of Jasper county; Harvey of North Dakota; and Sara who died at the age of five years. Besides these, she leaves to mourn her loss a foster son, Kenneth Rambo, four brothers, one sister eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a large circle of friends who will miss her.
The funeral services were held at the Christian Church of Collins Monday afternoon, 2 o'clock. Rev. S. P. Telford of Maxwell Church, having charge of the services. His talk was full of hope and comfort to the sorrowing ones. The floral offerings from friends and relatives were very beautiful. A fine choir composed of Chas. Cooper, Rev. Fenner E. King, Thos. Huntrod, Mrs. Glenn McCord, Misses Pearl Carver and Erma Anderson, with Mrs. Etta Patterson accompanist, sang appropriate selections.
The interment was at the Collins Cemetery. The pall bearers were Chas. Dodd, David Southern, Thos. Swalwell, Daniel Crocker, Silas McQuiston and Samuel Jackson.
The bereaved ones have the sympathy of many friends.
