Oliver A. Haley, age 86, of Fruitland Park, Florida, formerly of Nevada, died January 20, 2007 at a long term care facility in Leesburg, Florida where he was a resident for the past several months.

Oliver was born August 6, 1920 near Collins, Iowa. He was married to Maxine Huntrods December 8, 1937 in Arkansas. They later divorced. He lived for 17 years in Zearing, Iowa before moving to Nevada in 1959. Oliver owned and operated Continental Fertilizer Co. and Continental Sales Co. for several years. He invented a fertilizer Blend-O-Mixer and other supporting equipment that were manufactured in Nevada and sold throughout the United States. Later he married Doris Coughenour and moved to various southern locations managing mobile home parks before settling in Florida.

Oliver is survived by his wife Doris (Coughenour) Haley; sons Oliver Haley Jr. of Maxwell and Ron (Dianna) Haley of Nevada; daughters Janice (Bob) Hathaway of Nevada, Karen (Tom) Plunkett of Maxwell, Linda (Jerry) Cheek of Nevada; son-in-law Gary Clouser of Ames; step-son Bradley (Karen) Coughenour of Cover'dalene, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-granchildren; sister Myrtle Pointer of Collins; brother Raymond Haley of Popular Bluff, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Oliver was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Julie Clouser; brothers Wilber, Ed and Elmer; and sister Myrna Etnier.

There will be a gravesite service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 27th at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, Florida.
