Rosa Lee Erickson, 68, of Ames, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell.

Rosa Lee was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Ames, to William and Rosa Illene (Warner) Coy. She attended Oak Park Academy in Nevada. She married Everett Erickson Feb. 22, 1957. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, floral arranging, golfing and playing bingo.

She is survived by one son, Eric Erickson, of Iowa Falls; one daughter, Marlene (Bryan) Thompson, of Slater; five grandchildren, Carol, Jason and Katie Erickson, and Zachery and Austin Thompson; and three great-grandchildren, Serenity, Jasmine and Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband on Nov. 5, 2005.

A visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp.
