Forrest R. (Toy) Pointer
April 3, 1924-Jan. 10, 2007

Forrest R. (Toy) Pointer, 82, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. As per his request, he was cremated and there are no services planned at this time.
Forrest R. (Toy) Pointer was born April 3, 1924 in Collins, the son of Harvey Lewis and Pearl Mae (Williams) Pointer. He married Myrtle Haley March 18, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy. He retired as a welder with Solar Aircraft in Des Moines and Williams Cylinder Head in Nevada. He was a former member of the Collins American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of Collins; one son: Randy and Hahm Pointer, of Spring, Texas; one daughter, Judy Nowning, of Huxley; one brother, Donald Pointer, of Collins; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
