Randall A. Peterson, 93, of Boone and formerly of Jordan, died Monday, Jan. 8,, at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone. The family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

Randall A. Peterson was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Boone County, the son of Fred and Euphemia (Forsberg) Peterson. He graduated from Boone High School in 1932 and attended Boone Junior College. He married Nora Sellers Oct. 2, 1935, and was employed at that time by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. In 1938, they moved to the family farm near Jordan in Boone County where he farmed until he retired in 1975. They moved to Boone in 1977.

He is survived by two daughters, Jean (William) Bielfelt, of Boone, and Beth (Edward) Judge, of Napier; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora in 1989; his parents; and two brothers, Edwin and Reuben.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
