Patricia "Trish" Elaine Byers, 55 of McCallsburg died on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Trish was born March 23, 1951 in Ames to Roger and Marjorie (Sager) Griffith. She was a 1969 graduate of Nevada High School. Trish also went on to beauty school. On June 27, 1983, she married James Patrick "Pat" Byers in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Trish has been employed for 27 years as a lab tech for the National Veterinary Services Lab (NVSL) in Ames. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church. Trish enjoyed being with family, sewing, and scrap booking.

Trish is survived by her husband Pat Byers of McCallsburg; a son, Jedidiah Byers at home; a daughter, Melissa Howard (Michael Clark) of Urbandale; a brother, Steven Griffith of Alexandria, VA; 3 sisters, Marilyn Petro of Ankeny, Sue Whitaker and Roberta (Jeff) Sodt, both of Nevada; local nieces and nephews, Todd Griffith, Tadd Griffith, Rachel Farnham (Egeland), Adam Egeland, Tara Whitaker and others.

Trish was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Roger Griffith in August of 1990, and Dean on July 26, 1999.

A memorial fund has been established.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada was entrusted with Trish's arrangements.
