Richard Klucinec, 62, of Boone, died Friday, Sept. 22, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone with the Rev. Steve Brodersen officiating. Graveside services and burial will be Friday, Sept. 29, in Mount Airy Cemetery in Natrona, Pa.

Richard was born June 27, 1944, in Allegheny County, Pa., the son of John and Lucille (Maslowski) Klucinec. He graduated from Harbrack High School in Natrona, Pa. He worked as a specialty steel shipper for Allegheny-Ludlum Steel in Natrona. He retired in 2000 and moved to Boone last year to make his home with his son, Jeffrey. He enjoyed new cars, gardening and reading, especially history.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Klucinec, of Boone, and his fiancée, Lynnette Baumann, of Ames, and Brian Klucinec and his wife, Lisa, of Palmyra, Pa.; one brother, Robert Klucinec and his wife, Josie, of Leesburg, Va.; one sister, Joan Piasecki and her husband, Victor, of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Jake and Julia Klucinec, of Palmyra, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone.
