Karen P. Nedrebo, 60, of Ames, died of congestive heart failure Monday, Sept. 18, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Karen P. Nedrebo was born Nov. 13, 1945, in Ames, to T.L. and Mamie (Dyvig) Nedrebo. She graduated from Gilbert High School and AIB in Des Moines. She was employed as a computer operator and supervisor in Omaha, Neb., for 20 years before returning to Ames.

She is survived by her mother, Mamie Nedrebo, of Ames; one brother, Richard (Sandy) Nedrebo, of New London; one niece, Pamela (Kris) Lien, of Sheldon; two nephews, Keven (Linda) Gaul, of Waterloo, and Terry Gaul, of Dyersville; and four grand-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; sister, Marilyn Gaul; and infant sister, Marlene Thora.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
