Lois Irene Ashby

Lois Irene (Pincombe) Ashby, 93 passed away on Monday, July 10, 2006 at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Graveside memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Myron D. Herzberg officiating.

Lois was born on November 8, 1912 in Nevada, Iowa to William and Laura (Lough) Pincombe. She lived in Nevada until her marriage to Warren C. Ashby on August 28, 1938. They lived in Dallas, Texas and Raytown, Missouri while working in the school supply business. In 1980, the Ashby's moved to Lee's Summit to enjoy retirement. Lois was a member of the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church and Chapter JZ PEO Sisterhood.

Lois is survived by her sister, Henrietta Huhn; a niece Sue Ann Atkinson and her husband Bill, all of Nevada; a grand nephew and several grand nieces.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church, 114 S. E. Douglas, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with Lois' arrangements.
