Wilson Merton Coover
April 5, 1913 - July 10, 2006Wilson M. Coover passed away in Stockton at the age of 93. Born in Gilman, Iowa, he raised his family and operated his businesses for 35 years in Nevada, Iowa. He retired and spent the last 28 years in Rio Verde, Arizona. During WWII he heard his country's call and served honorably in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater.
He owned an automobile dealership in Nevada, Iowa, and was active in Rotary, Toastmasters, the 20th Century Club, was past president of the Nevada School Board and past president of the Iowa Auto Dealer's Association. He loved golf, and was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is the beloved father of Bradley Coover (Judi) of Brighton CO, Connie Lewis (Dale) of Rio Verde, AZ, Steven Coover of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Roger Coover (Susie) of Stockton, loving grandfather of Jim, Bari, Brad, Debbie, Lorrie, Bryan, Tina, Tim, Kevin, Matt, Charlie and Crystal. His wife, Lenna L. Coover precedes him in death.
Memorial Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Rio Verde Community Church, 25603 N. Danny Lane, Rio Verde, AZ. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunshine Acres through the Rio Verde Community Church or to the Rio Verde Community Church Foundation, 25603 Danny Lane, Rio Verde, AZ 85263.
