The Roland Record, Roland, Story County, Iowa, February 12, 1897.

The life of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Rod's infant daughter is dispaired of. The little one has been gradually sinking away for the past two days while the loving parents are doing all in their power to prevent the last spark of life from leaving the little body.

-Later. The baby died last night. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at two, at the Bergen church.
