Loren Holland

Loren Holland, 73, of Kansas City, Mo, formerly of Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006. He was born in Roland, IA on February 14, 1933, to Juella and Overt Holland.

Loren lived in Iowa most of his life before moving to Kansas City in 2000. He was an avid golfer and loved many spectator sports. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an accountant, most recently retired from Kockler & Co. in Nevada, IA.

Loren is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lou; sons, Kent and his wife Holly, of Plano, TX, Kevin and his wife, Michelle, Kyle and his wife Sherri; and daughter, Lori Weedman; 5 grandchildren; Geoffrey, Mallory, Mason, Christian, and Isabella, all of Kansas City, Mo; one sister, Carol, and her husband, Dan Staggs, of West Bend, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Norma Taylor; and two brothers, Don and Wayne Holland.

A memorial service was held on Monday, July 3, at Bergen Lutheran Church of Roland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch Rd., suite 100, Merriam, KS 66204-1200.
