Lewis Stevenson, of Algona, Iowa, committed suicide Tuesday morning by shooting himself. He had taken a twelve weeks course of treatment at the Independence insane asylum and returned home as cured. No cause is known to account for the action. He was a leading merchant previous to his sickness. He leaves a wife and four children in good circumstances. Mr. Stevenson will be remembered by quite a few of our readers, as he at one time lived a couple of miles east of Nevada.
