Ramona R. Burzette, 74, of Indianola, died Sunday, June 11, at Kavanagh House in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow the services; burial of cremains will be at a later date in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Hampton, Ramona R. Burzette had been an Indianola resident since 1959. A homemaker, she had worked as a nurse's aide and laundry assistant at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and antiquing.
She is survived by two sons, Kelly (Marie) of Indianola and Greg (Julie) Burzette of Des Moines; three daughters, Sandee (Steve) Overstreet of Polk City, Billie (Tim) Bingaman of Indianola and Dr. Becky Burzette (Dr. Warren Phillips) of Ames; one brother, Chris Larson of Folsom, Calif.; two sisters, Bonnie Nestvedt of Des Moines and Juanita "Pooch" Van Every of Rocklyn, Calif.; and her good friend Candy Byers of Indianola. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Sara Overstreet (Felix Gallagher), Amanda Overstreet, William Phillips, Jenifer (Don) Strange, Samantha Bingaman, Michael Bingaman, Abe Burzette, Stuart Burzette, Olivia Burzette, Benjamin Burzette, Matthew Ginder and Brennan Ginder; and two great-grandchildren, Felix Gallagher Jr. and Joseph Strange.She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and one brother, George G. Larson.
