Aged Lady Passes Away
Mrs. Silje Duea was born in Norway, December 15, 1836 and died at the home of her son, T. C. Carpenter near Story City, on Wednesday, June 1, 1910, being 75 years, 5 months and 16 days old when death called her to the Great Beyond. Mrs. Duea had been sick for several weeks at her son's home and death was not unexpected. She leaves two sons, T. C. Carpenter, of near Story City, and Amond Duea, of Des Moines, to mourn her death besides her brother Jonas Duea of this place. The funeral services were held from Salem church on Friday, Rev. G. O. Paulsrod of Randall conducting the funeral services in teh absence of Rev. Sandven. Internment took place in the Roland cemetery. The sorrowing ones are extended the sympathy of their friends in the hour of their bereavment.
