Steven John Hall was born August 16, 1989 in Ames Iowa and died March 25 in a car accident. Funeral services were held on March 30 at the Scranton Church of Christ. He lived in Nevada, Iowa and moved to Aurora, Colorado at age three. His family moved to Scranton, Iowa in 2005. Steven was a student at the Jefferson-Scranton Alternative School. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, listening to music, watching movies and playing video games, fishing, working on his car, and helping others with mechanical issues that only Steven could resolve. His dream was to own his own repair garage or be part of a NASCAR pit crew. Those left to honor Steven's memory include his parents Lisa (Gustoff) and Scott Dankel of Scranton; Matt and Deanne Hall of Harcourt; two brothers Alex and Adam Dankel of Scranton; step-brother and step-sister Jacob and Rebecca Stewart of Harcourt; grandparents Barb and Kenny Hilts of Scranton, Becky Irish of Ames, John and Jane Hall of Harcourt; great-grandparents Eva Mae Gustoff of Scranton, Rhoda Dankel of Hubbard, Pearl Peterson of Lanyon and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
