Ralph French Rites Planned

Services for Ralph W. French, 87, of 4515 Chamberlain ave., who died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Caldwell Brien Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Mr. French a retired employee of Iowa Power and Light Co., was born at Colo and lived here 40 years. He was in Moline, Ill., from 1959 until he returned to Des Moines last September. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lois Hayne, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. John Hamer of Moline; six sons, Irvin F., Byron R. and Marion E. of Deavenport, Frank V. of Los Angeles, and Edward I. and Calvin C. of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Fred of Long Beach, Calif., and Leo of Des Moines, 40 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
