Death of Mrs. Anthony Hale

Mr. J. E. Hale's mother, Mrs. Anthony Hale, died at her home in Blairsburg Wednesday evening, March 18th. He reached there before she died. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hale were present at the funeral, which was held Friday. The interment was at the Blairsburg Cemetery, by the side of her husband, Anthony Hale, who was for some years a member of the board of Supervisors of Story county. They lived then on what is now the A. H. Kelderhouse farm and were highly esteemed by all who knew them. She was born March 31, 1833, and lacked only a few days of being 81 years. She had been ill for eight weeks and died from the disabilities of advanced age, full of years and faithful to the last in her relations to the surviving loved ones, who mourn her departure and who have the sympathy of friends and neighbors in their bereavement.
