THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, February 24, 2006.

Florence Burnham, 106, of Ankeny, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Sunny View Care Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at First Christian Church in Ames. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, prior to the funeral service, with the family present. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ames.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and two daughters, Wilma Frangos and Louise Burnham.

She is survived by six children, Mariam Gamble of Des Moines, Lola Howard of Jacksonville, Fla., Bill (Barbara) Burnham of Clive, Shirley Kubiskey of Vienna, Va., Chuck (Sue) Burnham of Round Lake, Ill., and Carolyn (Jess) Guzman of Altoona; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice, 5650 N.W. Johnston Drive, Suite E, Johnston, IA, 50131; or First Christian Church, 611 Clark Ave., Ames, IA, 50010.

Memorial Services of Iowa at Story Memorial Gardens is in charge of arrangements.
