THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 13, 1899. "J. A. Fitchpatrick, of Nevada, an Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Crosley, of Webster City, visited their old army comrade, Jesse Bowen, last Saturday, and it goes without saying that the time was most agreeably spent, for the hospitality of our genial landlord is almost as well know as the good comradeship of the "boys of the sixties" and their hearty enjoyment of the reminiscensces of those days. Mr. Crosley entered the ranks of the 3d Iowa Inf. as a private and before the close of the was was major of the regiment."
