Votes Railroad Tax
Cambridge, Jan. 4. – Cambridge gets a new railroad. The tax carried for the road 174 to 116, and great rejoicing and exultation were in evidence after the count was declared and the news was soon conveyed to Mr. Shaw, one of the directors in the railroad, at his hotel, and it was but a short time before cigars by the box were passing through the crowd of voters and citizens were present to see the result of the count.
