On the evening of December 10, 1914 at the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Robison, some three miles northwest of Maxwell, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Edith A., to Roscoe H. Longnecker, Rev. Dr. A.P. Walton, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Maxwell, officiating. It was a very beautiful home wedding, the impressive ring ceremony being used.

The bride was very tastefully gowned in cream drap meteor, trimmed in chantilly lace, and carried a bouquet of cream roses and lillies of the valley. The groom wore a suit of blue serge.

The color scheme was pink and white, the decorations being of pink and white carnations and festoons of smilax.

Preceding the marriage ceremony, Mrs. M.C. Hummer, of Des Moines, sang "O Promise Me," and Miss Mae Hartinger, of Maxwell, played Mendelssohn's Wedding March. Following the ceremony Miss Irene smith, of Maxwell, a music student at Drake University, sang during the congratulations "I Love You Truly."

A two course wedding dinner was served by Misses Belle Bamford, of Colo; Mae Hartinger, Ethel Dunahoo and Lyna Wickard of Maxwell, the table decorations being a center piece of pink and white carnations and festoons of smilax.

Some sixty invited guests, who were received at the door by the Misses Belle Bamford and Mattie Whitaker, were present.

The contracting parties were the recipients of many very beautiful and useful presents.

The bride and groom have grown to manhood and womanhood in this community and are numbered among our best young people Both are graduates of the Maxwell high school, and the bride took one year's work in Highland park college in the Home Economics course and has taught three years in both rural and grade schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Longnecker will be at home to their many friends on the E.R. Robison farm.
