Eugene Harvey Baldwin was born in Ira, Iowa December 22, 1867. His parents, Mirtlow and Sarah Rowe Baldwin pioneered in Jasper County in 1855. On March 27, 1893 he married Ida Hay. Their children are Ethel who is deceased, Ila Lucille who married Clarence Wert, Claude M. who married Louise Norton, and Jeannetta who married Robert Norton.

Eugene Baldwin was a farmer and livestock producer. Prior to their marriage Ida Hay worked in the Baldwin and Maxwell store in Maxwell. She was a charter member of the Christian Church in maxwell. Mr. Baldwin died June 20, 1940.

Ila and Clarence Wert had two daughters. Don`e Mae married Russell Payne. Their children are Allan Russell and Stephen Robert. And their other daughter, Kathryn married Ed Longnecker, and their children are Dennis Eugene and Gary Dean.

Claude M. and Louise Baldwin's children are James and Ann Claudette. James married Jeanette Gillan. Their children are Claudia, deceased, Mark, Elizabeth, Timothy and John. Ann Claudette married Bill Peterson. Their children are Cynthia ann, Denise Rae and Elaine Susan.

Jeanetta and Robert Norton's children are Janice Marie, Judy Kay and Richard Gene.
