After retirement from farming, Creighton got his real estate license and worked for the Gearhart Agency then later started a real estate business out of his home, The Wegner Agency. He also sold crop insurance and did crop adjusting for 26 years.

Creighton had many talents and loved talking with the people he met during his travels for work and pleasure. He especially loved the Black Hills of South Dakota. He and Vi joined a group there to dig up dinosaur bones and fossils. Coffee and cookies with his friends was his favorite past time.

After losing Vi in 2015, he remained in his home until a year ago when he moved to the Alcester Care Center.
