Margaret Feekes, age 99, went to her heavenly home on April 12, 2024. She was born on the family farm near Sioux Center, IA on Feb. 21, 1925, to William and Hattie Hooyer Broek. She attended country school through the eighth grade.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Arnold J. Feekes on May 20, 1947. In this union, they were blessed with six children. They farmed together west of Sioux Center, working side by side in the dairy barn or in the fields. During their 58 years together they shared their love of singing and laughter with many others. Arnold passed away on July 1, 2005.

Margaret had a humble spirit and servant's heart. She dedicated her life to serving her Lord and others. She brought joy to the lives of others and touched many lives through her service in church, Meals on Wheels, as an EMT and many other areas. She was a lifelong member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church.

Margaret enjoyed many activities: playing cards, cribbage, scrabble, Heartland Strategy, reading, cooking, playing piano, working crossword puzzles, and remembering people with a phone call, note, or card. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Those who are left will forever cherish her memory. She left a legacy of Christian love and service. She taught us through example about love, faith and trust. What a great mom, grandma, and great grandma. We couldn't have loved her more.

Margaret is survived by her six children; three sons and daughters-in-law: Stan and Judy Feekes, Roger and Linda Feekes, Brian and Deb Feekes all from Sioux Center, IA; three daughters and sons-in-law: Lauri and Vern Kooima from Rock Valley, IA Donna and Glenn Visser from Sioux Falls, SD, Sandi and Harv Van De Berg from Sioux Center, IA; 32 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Anna Mae Broek of Sioux Center, IA; sister-in-law, June Broek of Hull, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
