Daryle Allen Brink of Eugene, Oregon, passed away May 11, 2012 of age-related causes. He was 87.

He was born April 2, 1925, on the family farm near Maurice, Iowa, to Henry and Jannigje "Jennie" (Vogelaar) Brink. He married Carol van der Velde on November 30, 1945, in Los Angeles, California.

He graduated from Maurice High School. He served as a mechanic with the 432nd Army Air Corps in Tonopah, Nevada. He worked for 36 years with Pacific Bell Telephone & Telegraph.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Dennis and Larry, both of Eugene, Rod of Sisters and Brian of Portland; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
