Leslie Alan Keith
December 19, 1950 — January 20, 2024
Hudson, South Dakota
The family is sad to announce that Leslie Alan Keith, 73 of Hudson, SD passed away on January 20th 2024, from health complications at Avera McKennan Hospital, while surrounded by his loving family.

After graduating from Maurice-Orange City High School, Les was primarily employed with LG Everist Railroad in Hawarden, IA. Les later was employed at the South Dakota Veteran’s Home in Hot Springs, SD. He often shared how much he enjoyed the work because of all the meaningful conversations he was able to have with the residents in the home.

Les lived his life to the fullest. He was known for his corny jokes. He could be found shooting pool, drinking PBR, and singing karaoke at the local American Legion or Eagle’s Club. Tinkering in his shop, woodworking, and helping friends also brought him joy. It was the people that filled his life, which was the most important to him, especially his grandchildren. He loved them and was always so proud. His infectious smile will never be forgotten.

Les is survived by his two sons, Rusty (Cathy) and Randy. Grandchildren include Darien, Jett (fiancé Mikayla), and Finley. Nancy’s children, Tony (Kelly) Cole and Kelly (Laura) Cole, as well as their children and grandchildren.

Les is also survived by his 6 siblings Lynnette (Mark) Schuller, Harv (Steph) Keith, Glenda Bailey, Margene (Jim) Vander Wilt, Patti (Ron) DeGroot, Terri Curran, as well as his sister-in-law, Becki Keith.

Les is preceded in death by his wife Nancy of 33 years, his parents, Cecil and Jennie Keith, two brothers Dennis and Larry Keith, sister Deb Semmler, and brother-in-law Andy Curran.
