On June 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Herman Oldenkamp at the First Reformed Church in Ireton. Mrs. Oldenkamp was a member of the First Reformed Church in Orange City, where in addition to her bookkeeping and kitchen duties, she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a seamstress, and often altered clothes for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, playing board and card games, and listening to gospel music, especially The Gaithers. In her younger years, she also volunteered as a 4-H Club leader.
