Mousel Valentine born about 1870 died 1920
Death of Valentine Mousel of Dell Rapids passed away Monday from the effects of blood poison form a wound. Mr. Mousel caught his hand in a corn sheller on Dec 16th, crushing It badly. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but blood poison later set in and on Monday, ten days after the accident, he breathed his last. Mr. Mousel formerly lived near Alton, leaving about ten years ago to settle on a farm near Dell Rapids. His brother, Ferdinand Mousel living south of town, left Sunday for Dell Rapids. Mr. Mousel was about 50 years old an is survived by his wife and eight children . Many friends here sympathize deeply with them in their loss.

He was the son of Jacobus Mousel 1831-1908 and Annie Catherine Pauline Capesius 1836-1901. His wife was Theresa Mrutzkowske, Children listed but not verified - Anna 1893, Joseph 1894, Roy 1895, Raymond 1896, Ella 1898, Herbert 1900, Ralph 1902, Dortha 1905, George 1907. Edmond 908, Marie 1912, Hilda 1914.
