The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. John Ahlers, jr. was buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery here Tuesday morning1920 census of East Orange John Ahlers born 1893 was widower having a baby son Leo. A brother in law Henry Degen was living with him.
A family report on ancestry.com done by other than this submitter lists a son of John Ahlers born 24 Jun 1892 Granville died 13 Jul 1968 Granville IA, had a son Robert Ahlers born 23, Jul 1917. His wife was Anna Degen 1889-1919. Two other children born to them were Dorothy 1918 and Leo 1919-1964.
