Mrs. Dom. Jungers, nee Kate (Katherine)Hentges, was born at Biesen, Luxemberg, Germany , on Oct 26, 1866 and died at her home near Hospers, Iowa on March 1, 1920, aged 53 years, 4 months and 4 days.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Hentges and came with her parents to the US in 1877 and located near LeMars. A year later they homesteaded on a farm near Hospers.
Miss Kate Hentges was married to Mr. Domonic Jungers on February 11, 1886, and this union was blessed with nine children who with the husband are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother. The children are Nick and Theodore in Minnesota. Felix of Hospers, Emil of Ashton, Tony, Alfred and Edwin at home, Mrs. John Block and Mrs. P Becker of Hospers. Also her father and two brothers and two sisters: John Hentges of Tyler WA, Chas Hentges of Alton, Mrs. P. Kellen of Lismore MN, and Mrs. C. W. Langenhorst of Hospers.
Deceased was a devout member of the Catholic church of Hospers and was ranked among the most deserving useful and exemplary Christian wives and mothers of this community. She was quiet, kind and sincere and particularly was a home loving woman. She and her husband had planned to retire from farm life and move to town when she was called to her Eternal Home and Inherit the reward prepare for those who put their trust in Him who has life everlasting. The bereaved husband and children have the sympathy of all in their irreparable loss.
