Mr. and Mrs. David Vander Ham, residing two miles east of Chatsworth, were called upon Tuesday evening to mourn the death of their seven year old daughter Margaret, from scarlet fever. Owing to the fact that the home is still under quarantine, no public funeral could be held. Rev. Meske was up from Akron and the board of heath, composed of D. K. Bennett, N. P. Westergard and J. L. Gamble, together with Undertaker Osterday of Hawarden, accompanied the remains to Akron where they were laid to rest by the side of two other children who died several years ago from the same disease. An older Daughter, Mary, who is sick with the same dread malady, seems to be improving. The grief stricken parents have the sympathy of all in their hour of deep affliction.
