Miss Etta S. Kimmel died at her home two and one half miles north west of Sheldon on Saturday April 5th, aged thirty four years. Deceased was born at Lanark IL. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, and though unable to walk for several years, she was a regular attendant at church.

The funeral services were held on Monday from the Church of the Brethren three miles northwest of Sheldon. The services were conducted by Elder W. E. Lichty of Waterloo who was assisted by Elder J. Schehter Jr. of Worthington, MN. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in East Lawn cemetery, Sheldon IA

Mrs. Clayton G. Fry, a sister and Mrs. W. Hoffman, an aunt, of Merrill Kansas: J. T. Eichman and Mrs. Lizzie Royer of Lanark IL were present at the funeral.

Deceased is survived y four brothers and four sisters: James, Dan, Ben and Jesse, and Mr. J. E. Rolston Mrs. Paul Evans, Mrs. Chester Bishop all of Grant Township and Mrs. Clayton Fry of Merrill KA. She is also survived by her parents.

The modest, cheerful, patient life of the deceased has been an inspiration to many in the community and she will be mourned by many.

William Columbus Kimmel born 1854 PA died 24 May 1941 Sheldon IA. Wife Ann Eckman 1853-1928. Etta 1878-1913 was second child of a large family.
