Death record has given name as Ernie but the newspaper death article states Mary daughter. Assuming the newspaper article mistook Mary for Ernie.

1910 census of Holland Twp Sioux County lists Harry Elgersma 21, born 1890 wife Mary 20 and son Ernest baby. Mrs. Visser mother of Mary lived with them.

Little two year old Mary Elgersma, daughter of Harry Elgersma of this city died on Monday after and illness of several weeks with lung fever. Mr. Elgersma had the misfortune to lose his wife about three months ago, making the present loss double hard. His only surviving child an infant of three months is also very ill with pneumonia. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Timmerman.
