W. Steensma died at his home in this city Sunday evening at the age of nearly ninety one years. Deceased was born in Friesland Netherlands where he was untied in marriage to Miss Antje de Boer. Of the five children born to them, two are living and are Mrs. F. Groeneveld of Pease Mn and Mrs. P Wassenaar of Maurice. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Steensma came to this country and shortly thereafter the latter died. In 1896 Mr. Steensma was married to Mrs. Sipma who now survives him. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. Timmermann.

His wife was Antje Tjeerds De Boer born 10 Feb 1825 Marrum Friesland Neth. and died 8 Mar 1893 Orange City IA. Children – Antje 1847-1851, Sijbeltje 1849-1878, Tjeerd 1852, Antje 1853-1931, and Dirkje 1867-1942.
