Mrs. Mathias Henrich passed away at her home in Alton Sunday Jan 15th after suffering from dropsy for a period of six months and death comes as a relief. She was born in Woelflingen Lorraine, France Sep 4th 1852. On November 27th 1878 she was untied in marriage to Mathias Henrich at Wieswiller Lotheringen Germany. This union was blessed with five children.

On June seventh 1899 Mr. and Mrs. Henrich landed in New York and made their home in different states of the union and March of 1910 the Henriches came to Sioux County from Minnesota and brought a property in Alton a home in which to spend their last years.

Deceased is survived by her husband, three sons and one daughter. J. H. of Osmond NE, E. G and J. C. of Alton and Mrs. J. J. Koufman of Mendota Il. One sister also survives Mrs. Jacob lutz of Woelflinger Germany.

The funeral services were held Tuesday January 17th from St. Mary’s Catholic church and were conducted by Very Rev F. J. Brune. Interment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery. All the children attended the funeral J. M. C. Johnke of Woodstock MN also attended the service.
