A sad accident happened at the Mike Friedrich’s place east of town, Saturday. Little Margaret six years old and her sister were watching a bon fire. In some manner the fire caught the clothing of the little girl and before same was extinguished the little one had been severely burned and she passed away in the evening. There was seemingly no fire left but a spark from the still smoldering embers was enough to destroy a life. The mother ran to the relief of the little girl at once upon the first cry for help and the father arrived upon the scene a few moments later but they were unable to save the little on though they received severe burns in their attempt to do so and both are now under doctor’s car. The funeral services which in this case were extremely sad, were held on Tuesday from the Catholic church. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
