Resident Here 60 Years Dies
Funeral Services Held Yesterday Afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church; Interment at Ireton.
Mrs. August Ronsiek, 77 a resident of Hawarden and vicinity for almost 60 years, died at the Hawarden hospital at 12:30 Sunday morning. Death was due to her advance years and a combination of ailments.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Chruch at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon with Rev. c. A. Burkhart in charge. Interment was at Ireton.

Helena Katherine Ziegler was born in Germany Jul 19, 1869 at the age of 18 years she, in the company with a sister came to the United State and lived near Ireton. She spent all her life in America around Ireton and Hawarden.

She was married to August Ronsiek March 3, 1892. She spent eight years in Hawarden and for the past 18 or 19 years she lived on a small acreage in the southeast part of town. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include the widower; four children, Mrs. Nick Westergard, and Mrs. Eric Falk of Hawarden, Henry of Ireton and Fred of Craig; one brother Martin Ziegler of Sandstone MN and one sister Mrs. John Burley of Struble, and 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and an infant son, Carl, and one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Eilers, who together with her husband was killed in an automobile accident in August of 1840. Following the death of his parents, Duane Eilers made his home with his grandparent Mr. and Mrs. Ronsiek.
