Mrs Carl Baune died at her home five miles southeast of Alton Sunday night June 27 1909 at eleven o’clock. Mrs. Baune had not been well since about one month ago when she became the mother of a little girl. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bohnenkamp formerly residing near Remsen but now residents of Coggswell ND. She was born in Petersburg in Delaware county IA on the ninth of June 1874. She came to Sioux County with her parents in 1884 and was married to Carl Baune in 1897. She was the mother of six children five of whom survive her. Funeral services were conducted from St. Mary’s Catholic church at Alton Wednesday morning June 13th 1909 the Rev Brune officiating. Relatives present from abroad on account of her illness and death were her parents from Coggswell, Frank Bohlke and wife of Oyens and the following form Remsen Henry Baune and wife,

The little month old babe left motherless has been taken by Mrs. Chris Mueller of Alton who is a sister of Mr. Baune and who but recently lost a little child.
