Jody Lynn, the daughter of Larry Lee and Betty Lou (Moss) Faber, was born on May 5, 1968, in Omaha, Nebraska. When she was still a child, her family settled in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Jody attended Calvin Christian School and Sioux Falls Christian High School. Following her graduation in 1986, Jody enrolled at Dordt College in Sioux Center, and completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1990.

Jody was united in marriage to Stacey LaVern Kooiman on September 14, 1990, in Sioux Falls. For the first two years of their marriage, they made their home in Sioux Center and Jody commuted to Sioux Falls for her job at Norwest Bank. In 1993, the couple moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where Jody started working for GANIS Credit Corporation. Stacey was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at the age of twenty-six and passed away on November 4, 1997, in Hull. Jody remained living in Pennsylvania, where for the past twenty-five years she has worked for the Residential Warranty Company. Jody was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March of last year. For the past twelve months she has been undergoing treatment with the help of her family and friends, but particularly her aunt and caretaker, Linda Vollan.

Jody was currently a member of the Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, and a former member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg. In her free time, Jody liked to cross-stitch, fix puzzles, and scrapbook. She also enjoyed taking bubble baths, going shopping, and attending concerts. She was often referred to as ‘Aunt Jody’ and she loved to dote on her nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her two brothers and their wives, Jeff and Christy Faber, of Hudsonville, Michigan; and Joel and Cassie Faber, of Walnut Creek, California; her nieces and nephews, Katherine and Joel Woudstra, Stacey and Kaleb Harmon, Branden Faber, Ethan Faber, Rachelle Faber, Addison Faber, and Carson Faber; several aunts and uncles; as well as her late husband’s family, including his parents, LaVern “Butch” and Sheila Kooiman; his brother and his wife, Todd and Janet Kooiman; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be given to the Kooiman and Faber Families for future designation.
