J. C. Stum, father of Mrs, Roy Bryan, died at the home of bis daughter in Ireton Monday at the age of 77 years, of dropsy of the heart. He had. been on a visit to his daughter here only about three weeks when he was stricken, The remains were taken to Lake City Tuesday and interred in the cemetery at Cotton wood church near that place. Mr. Stum was born in Pennsylvania but has lived in Iowa for the past 25 years. His wife died thirteen years ago Seven children are left to mourn his loss. The remains were accompanied by Roy Bryan, Mrs. Bryan not going on account of the sickness of her little girl.
