Otto Henry John, the twelve year oid son of Mr, and Mrs. H. L. Vander Hanm, died last Sunday morning at 2:30 o'clock age d 12 years. 11 months and 17 days. His death was caused by pneumonia complicated by yellow jaundice and gall stones. From his infancy up to a year ago he bad enjoyed good health, but God in his infinite wisdom saw fit to take him from earth in the flower of his youth. Otto had attended the German school and while sick it was his ardent desire to again be able to resume his studies in that school. His sorrowing parents and two younger brothers are left to mourn his loss and they have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral took place Wednesday at one o'clock p m. from St; John's Lutheran church, southeast of Ireton. Rev. C. D. Nuoffer conducted the services in the German and English languages. The remains were laid at rest in St. John's cemetery.
